Sparkling water and teeth

Sugary drinks have several negative health effects, for instance, they lead to an acidic environment in the mouth which can damage the enamel of the teeth. A new study finds that unsweetened sparkling water does not have this negative effect. Although it also briefly leads to a decline of the pH value, acidity remains above a level that causes harm.
