Rubber from dandelions

In the Soviet Union Russian dandelions were used to produce rubber tyres during World War II. Due to environmental concerns dandelions may now make a comeback for rubber production. They are closer to where the rubber is needed, sustainable, and offer an alternative to the South American rubber tree.
