How to evacuate an aeroplane

Aeroplanes should ideally be evacuated in at most 90 seconds in an emergency on the ground. This is hard to achieve with a considerable number of elderly persons on board. However, new research found that distributing elderly people near exits can considerably speed up the evacuation time (141 vs 218 seconds).
